Getting started
From your first branch to everyday work.
Prepare the details you already use at your library. The guided setup brings your branch, seats and shifts together before you add student records.
What to have ready
Your library and branch details, seat numbering, shift timings and fees, and an existing student list if you plan to import one. You can start with a clean workspace and add records individually.
Ask a setup question- 01
Create your account
Sign up, then begin the guided setup for your workspace. An existing user can sign in and continue to the workspace they can access.
Use the account you want to use as the owner. Staff can be invited later when your plan includes staff access.
Check whether Lab Lords fits - 02
Name your library and first branch
The Organization step asks for your business identity and owner contact. Next, the First branch step asks for the branch name, city and how your space is arranged.
Have your library name, owner phone number, business type, branch name and city ready.
How branch records stay separate - 03
Set seats, shift timings and fees
Still in the First branch step, enter the seat count and numbering. Add the shifts you offer, their start and end times, and the fee for each. Review these details before continuing.
Use your actual seating plan and shift fees. These are student fees for your library, separate from the Lab Lords subscription.

Review your plan and confirm setup
Choose the plan you expect to use after the Standard trial. Then choose to import existing records or begin with a clean workspace. You can go back to review the earlier steps before confirming.
For eligible new owners, confirmation starts the 30-day Standard trial. Selecting the later plan does not charge you; the owner separately authorizes billing from organization settings.

Add students and check the details
After setup, add students individually or continue into the guided import workflow. For an import, review the source fields and flagged issues before confirming the records. Check the result before using the imported information.
Keep your original student list handy. Check names, contact information and the branch, seat, shift and fee details you are bringing across.

Start keeping your daily records
Check seat availability, assign students to suitable shifts, record received fees and review outstanding amounts. Open the correct branch before making changes. Invite your team with the appropriate permissions if you use Standard. Record full or partial payments, retrieve receipts, mark attendance and save the next date to follow up on fees.
Use your own records to confirm amounts and assignments. The sample dashboard on this website is an illustration, not your live library. Choose English, Hindi or Hinglish for your interface, and set receipt and report language separately.

Before you confirm
Do I need a card for the trial?
No. Eligible new owners get one 30-day Standard trial after setting up their first branch. The trial is shared across branches in that workspace. Adding branches does not extend it. How the trial works.
Can I check an import before adding records?
Yes. The guided import workflow lets you map and review the source information, resolve flagged issues, and confirm before records are added. Check the result afterward for rows that need attention. Keep your original file for reference. Reviewing imported information.
